A/B Testing

Optimize your campaigns with A/B tests – test different subject lines, content, or send times and find the winning variant.

Create an A/B Test

A/B tests allow you to test two variants of a campaign against each other. Mailaura sends both variants to a test portion of your list and automatically sends the winning variant to the rest.

1

Create a new campaign and enable A/B test mode.

2

Choose what to test: subject line, sender name, or content.

3

Set the test portion (e.g., 20% of recipients for the test).

4

Define the winning criterion: open rate or click rate.

5

Set the test duration – the better variant is automatically sent afterward.

Analyze Test Results

After the test period ends, you'll see a detailed comparison of both variants. Mailaura shows the statistical significance so you can be sure the difference isn't random.

Best Practice

Test only one variable per A/B test (e.g., only the subject line). This way you know exactly which change made the difference. Use at least 1,000 recipients per variant for meaningful results.
